Dr. Conrad Hicks Introduces Aussie Medical Community to HCG Weight Loss
Melbourne, Australia August 22, 2010-The Australasian Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine welcomed Dr. Hicks to speak at their annual meeting on his experience with HCG use for weight loss.
The Australasian Academy Of Anti-Ageing Medicine (A5M) is part of a worldwide collective of Anti-Ageing practitioners under the auspices of The World Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (WAAAM) dedicated to the advancement of therapies related to the science of Longevity (Anti-Ageing) Medicine.

Over the past 3 years, A5M has successfully brought together many elites in the industry worldwide to educate and share their knowledge in the responsible practice of Anti-Ageing Medicine. A5M is the recognized educational service provider for the Anti-Ageing industry throughout Austral-Asia.
Dr. Hicks spoke to an enthusiastic, curious, packed session about his experience in the use of HCG for weight loss. Dr. Hicks reviewed the history of HCG use for weight loss for attendees and reported on the use of his Lighten Up Systems Program™ approach for patients.
He outlined the theory of how HCG works to‘re-program’ communication at the hypothalamic level which results in a re-established, lower weight set-point for patients.
Dr. Hicks stressed also for the audience the remarkable but poorly recognized aesthetic application for HCG in patients looking merely to remodel or reshape and who have few pounds to actually lose. “Increasingly in our practice we are seeing patients who do not have much weight to lose but who have specific troublesome areas they want to re-model. HCG, if used appropriately, yields remarkable results for this group of patients.
Physicians and aesthetic practitioners need to recognize the important application HCG has in this regard using the short 3 week cycle.”
Dr. Hicks also stressed the ability of this program to actually allow patients to return to regular calorie intake and essentially get their lives back after a cycle. “Patients always have fear after completion of a cycle that a return to regular calorie intake will mean re-gaining their weight. This DOES NOT happen with our program and patients are amazed and delighted at this caliber of result for their efforts.”
Dr. Hicks’ visit was in cooperation with Australian Custom Pharmaceuticals, Australia’s largest compounding pharmacy, which began work with Dr. Hicks to make Lighten Up Systems and HCG weight loss available to physicians and their patients throughout Australia.
“The physician response was unlike any we have EVER seen at such a medical meeting”… crowed Matt Chalmers, ACP Development Director who was astounded at the over 200 doctors at the conference who were interested in starting programs in their offices immediately after hearing Hicks’ presentation.
Dr. Hicks’ presentation was so well received that he was invited back for an update presentation for 2011.

Dr. Conrad Hicks Speaks at Indonesian Meeting Introducing ASEAN Medical Community to HCG Weight Loss
October 8 and 9, 2010 – Mercure Sanur Resort, Bali, Indonesia –The 9th Annual Asia Pacific & 6th A4M Indonesia Conference & Expo on Anti-Aging & Regenerative Medicine was pleased to have the presence of Dr. Conrad Hicks to speak to attendees on the use of HCG for weight loss.
“Our accredited professional training program has been designed to provide health care providers with appropriate clinical knowledge and skills in utilizing the state-of-the-art scientific tools to prevent, diagnose and effectively treat age-related conditions; to keep abreast of emerging trends and the latest developments in regenerative biomedical technology developed with a strong scientific evidence base. With these goals in mind we are thrilled to have Dr. Hicks with us this year to introduce our audience to this exciting new modality”, stated Steven Tjandra, Executive Director of A4M Indonesia and host for this years’ program.
Dr. Hicks spoke each day of the conference on different aspects of the use of HCG for weight loss and was hailed as the meetings’ most compelling speaker due to the interest in his topic.
Dr. Hicks reported on his practice success using the Lighten Up Systems Program™ and he highlighted the different aspects of the program for attendees. He spent some time on stressing the importance of placing patients in a SYSTEM and also the importance of appropriate nutritional support and detoxification for best results:
“Lighten Up Systems recognized the toxic burden and poor nutritional status of many will compromise best results on the LUS program so we have developed an aggressive nutritional formula for patients to utilize both before and during HCG administration and calorie restriction that absolutely improves results and makes the program more comfortable for patients going through.”
Dr. Hicks also commented on the rapid appearance of phony forms of HCG in the U.S. provided by those looking to capitalize on the effectiveness of programs using the actual hormone, which requires a prescription and doctors’ supervision. Various herbal and ‘homeopathic’ formulations have appeared that will result in poor results and thereby sully the reputation in the public sphere regarding the true usefulness of this program. Hicks explained that the general public will, by and large, have no idea of the fundamental difference in these forms and will be drawn to utilize them because of reduced cost and the idea that ‘this is something they can just do themselves at home’ without the involvement of a physician.
“Nothing could be further from the truth Hicks concluded. This is dangerous. The public must be educated on this.”
Dr. Hicks was approached by several physicians with wide reach to the Indonesian population who were anxious to bring Lighten Up Systems to Indonesia. Talks are ongoing and LUS will shortly be part of the weight loss lexicon in Indonesia and beyond.

Dubai, UAE October 27, 2010 -The Dubai Congress on Anti-Aging & Aesthetic Medicine (DCAAAM) 2010 was a resounding success and attracted over 1000 attendees during the 2 day conference and exhibition. This is the only American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) congress in the Middle East.
DCAAAM provided delegates with high caliber presentations and workshops from international leading professionals in preventive medicine and aesthetic procedures. Over 40 exhibitors showcased their groundbreaking products and technologies for aesthetic medicine, plastic surgery, nutrition, anti-aging and spas.
Dr. Conrad Hicks spoke to the gathered delegates on the use of HCG for weight loss and also presented a practice workshop on his Lighten Up Systems Program™. Dr. Hicks, once again, received an enthusiastic response from doctors in this part of the world with a keen interest in learning about this exciting method for dealing with the obesity epidemic.
“I cannot wait to give LUS a try myself and want to consider offering this to my patients back in California..” gushed Dr. Ann Peters, who traveled all the way from the states for this meeting.
In his talk Dr. Hicks stressed the benefits of Lighten Up Systems Program™ for dealing with metabolic syndrome and the elimination of visceral or abdominal fat which results in a healthier patient.
“Most of our patients with Type 2 diabetes see their requirements for medication to maintain blood glucose control decrease to nothing after a cycle. In addition we most often find the need for CPAP units for obstructive sleep apnea eliminated in men and women who complete our program, both of which represent huge medical health and quality of life benefits for patients on our program.”

Dr. Conrad Hicks Addresses Standing Room Only Doctors Group on HCG Weight Loss At San Jose Meeting
San Jose, California – Friday, September 11, 2009 American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine at the San Jose Convention Center
Dr. Conrad Hicks addressed assembled delegates at this year’s meeting on HCG weight loss in a talk entitled: “HCG Weight Loss: Should it Have a Place?”
Dr. Hicks spoke to a SRO crowd on his experience with Lighten Up Systems Program™ and HCG for weight loss. During the 45 minute presentation he reviewed the existing medical literature on the topic to account for many studies that concluded that HCG use for weight loss is ineffective.
“With over 3000 patients treated, I am here to tell you that this method is not only useful and effective, but has been the MOST effective medical intervention I have ever been affiliated with in my entire career, medical or surgical. There are many variables that would account for these older studies coming to the conclusion that this does not work, including inactive hormone use and/or the failure of the investigators to follow strictly the established protocols for HCG use. All it takes is one experience with a patient who has inactive hormone….immediately on replacing their supply with potent HCG, the immediate response is more than striking…”
Dr. Hicks reviewed the important aspects of a well run HCG program and also addressed the issue of the ‘off-label’ use of HCG for weight loss:
“Most of us as physicians are not aware that ‘off-label’ does not mean ‘off-base’ as far as the regulatory agencies or the courts, for that matter, are concerned. We (as physicians) are actually expected to use medications and medical devices for reasons other than those for which they were originally approved.”
Literature and legal and regulatory case history were presented to make his point. Despite this reality, however, the point was made that oftentimes insurance companies will not cover physicians for this use of HCG although the law is clear.
TS Wiley, the ‘doyenne’ of rhythmic hormone replacement and an enthusiastic supporter of the Lighten Up Systems Program™ gushed:
“I really liked your presentation, you have the science behind you and you can’t go wrong with that Conrad….ever!”
Being mobbed by interested physicians following his presentation, the group needed to be relocated as the scrum was interfering with the scheduled following speaker.
